Sketchbook Works in Progress

This section highlights upcoming litters, puppies and young adults available, and dogs currently in competition.

Our 2008 litter plans: Breeze (CH Sketchbook Spring Breeze) has been bred to Ashes (new CH Dinsdale-Chimera Man In Black). The litter should be due about November 23. Inquiries are invited for this litter which should produce both black and pepper-salt puppies.

Plans for 2009: Plans have not been "firmed up" yet for 2009, but it's possible that Autumn (CH Sketchbook Harvest Moon) may be bred in the spring, and we may consider breeding Song (CH Sketchbook Springtime Serenade) as well. Check back for updates as plans come together!

The 2007 litters - The "Kentucky Derby Winners" litter was born April 14, 2007. We bred CH Sketchbook Count The Stars (Tess) to CH Scarlights Seasar TD NA (Seasar). First to finish was CH Sketchbook Sunday Silence (Sunday) who finished at Bloomington, IL durning the Prairieland SSC Specialty Memorial Day weekend. On Labor Day 2008, a milestone was reached when "Moses" became CH Sketchbook Whirlaway, the 100th CHAMPION at Sketchbook!! CH Sketchbook Winning Colors (Kiera) finished Sept 20, 2008, starting the next 100 Champions!! Sketchbook Cannonero (Rocket), Sketchbook Genuine Risk (Gen), and Sketchbook Smarty Jones (Jonesy) are all pointed, and we expect them to finish soon !!

LE (CH Sketchbook Lunar Eclipse) was bred to CH Von Shaman's Koal Magic, "Koal", and had one very special girl on Sept 19, 2007. "Stella" (Sketchbook Secret Love Affair) is our first black, and she is quite nice! Stella is thoroughly enjoyed by the Holle's, and is busy learning how to rule the roost from her mother!

Young dogs available - Occassionally there may be a young adult available to a carefully chosen home.

Currently In Competition - Working on CH's - Spy needs only a few single points; Sasha hopefully will get in the ring sometime soon; and the "Kentucky Derby Winners" litter has 3 CH's and 3 more with points who should finish soon!

Working on Performance Titles - Beacon and Benny are working on Rally titles, and starting on agility; Seasar should be back in the agility ring, is working on advanced tracking titles, and if he has any say in it, we'll work on herding too; Vegas has started agility classes, with hopes toward titles in the future; several others are starting in on various avenues.

In the breed and Group rings - watch for Vegas in the ring as our main special for 2008. With a limited show schedule, he's currently #2 in the country! Others may be out from time to time, on a limited basis.

In the Jrs ring - Liz Holle "aged out" of Juniors this fall - she's had a wonderful Junior's career, and we are very proud to have played a part in it. We're hoping there will be some new Junior competitors coming along soon!
